We now have AA meetings online using Skype. They operate similar to live, in-person meetings. We use audio only, no video.All you have to do is have a Skype id. Skype is free, just go to Skype.com and download it
Meetings online take place at various times, 7 days a week. For a current schedule, click here (Word) or here (pdf).
Add this id to your Skype contacts: ChinaAAmeeting
At 10 or 15 minutes before the meeting, look for 'ChinaAAmeeting' and click on 'join the call' or send a message that you would like to join.
We welcome volunteers to do service to help run the meetings. If you would like to be a chairperson or host a meeting please let us know. The host is the person who makes the Skype call to the group and keeps the call going. The Chair is just like the chairperson in a live meeting.
You can do just one meeting or do a weekly meeting on a regular basis. The more volunteers we have the more meetings we can run.
It's a great way to do 12 step work and improve the quality of your sobriety. There are a lot of loners living in isolated places and we all need to support each other.

Tips for best sound:
- Use a headset
- Update your Skype to the latest version
- Shut off & close other programs on your computer during the meeting
- When listening, mute your microphone by clicking 'mute microphone' on the Skype window
- If you get disconnected send a message and try try again
- Keep coming back! It's worth it!
